Alert: Beware of fraudulent job offers

July 26, 2023

We are aware of current scams, often operated by criminal parties, which misuse the Accenture name or impersonate an Accenture employee or representative. These fraudulent schemes can appear as opportunities to financially invest in Accenture, explore employment opportunities, or provide translation services. These scams show up as messages on WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, LinkedIn, Facebook and email, or channels like TikTok, Uwork and Nequl. Examples include:

Investments

  • Messages that falsely offer investment opportunities with Accenture that promise high returns. Initially, scammers will return small amounts as “profit” to build trust, then ask for larger payments, collect the money, and then end all communication.

Employment

  • Messages targeting a job seeker, requesting “recruitment” payment to cover costs associated with applying for employment at Accenture.

  • Receiving a false work opportunity. Believing this request is legitimate, work is done, and the participant is left without payment.

  • Messages appearing from a fake email address (including, but not limited, to: Accenture@gmail.com or recruiting@accenture-hr-help.com), offering to schedule an interview for potential employment.

  • Solicitation for translation work.

Accenture, our people and our partners are not involved in these scams and will never ask for payment to invest in, to interview or work with our company. Accenture conducts business only through valid Accenture domains and never through outside chat messages.

For those with a current partnership or contract with Accenture

Phishing response email or offer

We understand you received a fake translation job, money or career offer, or you accepted an unsolicited offer to financially invest in Accenture. Sadly, this is a common scam, often operated by a criminal party. Scammers often pull details from your social media posts to personalize this fraudulent message. They then target you through Telegram messages, or channels like Signal, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook Uwork and Nequl or email.

Accenture, our people and our partners are not involved in these scams and will never ask for payment to invest, interview or work with our company. Accenture conducts business only through valid Accenture email addresses like accenture.com and does not conduct company communications through outside chat messages.

Social media platforms have great networking benefits, but they also serve as a space for scammers to find potential targets. Be cautious when receiving business messages, especially those asking for sensitive information or a quick response. Always verify the authenticity of any questionable or urgent communication. Individuals or organizations questioning correspondence appearing to come from Accenture, can use the Contact Us button found on the bottom of this page to confirm the communication’s legitimacy.

If you currently partner or contract with Accenture and have received an unexpected or suspicious email or call request, please reach out to your Accenture contact to confirm the request is legitimate.

We regret any inconvenience this situation may have caused.
